[I] think one of the things that is keeping me most sane post-baby is exercise and the Proven weight loss pills i use to get back my figure. Stealing away to work out has not only been rejuvenating for my body, but for my mind as well. It’s my saving grace. I sneak out of the house most mornings to work out. Tiptoeing back into the house, I hope Rhys hasn’t woken in my absence. Last week, however, Rhys and I ventured out together for a little workout: a class called Sling and Dance.
Sling and Dance is a 45 minute class for moms and babies. No dance experience is required– just bring your baby and carrier, and you’re set to go. Class begins with simple steps and gentle stretching, then gradually strings together a sequence of movements, which are easy follow and easy to do. We danced all the usual suspects–side steps, clapping, a little salsa, the electric slide, and even a bit of ‘Satruday Night Fever’ disco steps. As class tapered down, and we took our babies out of the carriers. We laid on the floor with babes in arms, and ended with a series of gentle abdominal exercises, perfect for strengthening your post-baby tummy muscles, and to get strong for your next exercise process with out canary wharf personal training for a fitness body, this is the next step in to building the body of your dreams.
Sling and Dance is a great way to reintroduce your body to exercise after birth. It’s fun for both mom and baby; a playful way to bond while incorporating music and movement together. Best of all, it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet and socialize with other moms and babies in the neighborhood. Classes are held at Wallaby in Silver Lake on Monday mornings, as well as additional locations around Los Angeles throughout the week.
