I’ve been throwing a black and white themed holiday party for the past eight years. It’s truly one of my favorite things about the holiday season. We invite a ton of friends, get decked out from head to toe, and drink Champagne (or my husband’s intoxicating homemade egg nog) all night long. The evening always turns into a late night dance party, foregoing my carefully crafted indie Christmas playlist for MGMT, Prince, and Yacht. This year’s party was no exception. We danced til 3am. It was grand.
This year, however, the crowd differed a bit from the usual suspects. Yes, they were in attendance, but so were a total of three babies, all of whom were dressed to the nines in their baby black and whites. I have to say, I almost died when I found Rhys’s outfit. It’s a Gwen Stefani Harajuku Mini for Target that I accidentally stumbled upon. It was stuffed on a rack, totally out of place, the only one of its kind to be found, and the perfect size. I could hardly believe my luck. I mean, seriously, it’s so rad. Plaid bow tie??? Forget it. Too cute. I just worry that I set the bar too high for his wardrobe so soon. I better hope I can find something equally as cool for next year…
Behold, the young party-goers, Finn, Will and Rhys:
