[O]h, friends. What would we do without them? Where would we be without them? I shudder to imagine. While I am grateful to boast two friendships that began when I was six years old, I can’t say I’ve had any friends since birth. Or before birth, really.
My dearest friend, Ashley, and I, were pregnant at the same time. Like almost exactly the same time. We were due 5 days apart from each other. And yes, we have the same name. Yes, we grew up in ballet together, yes, we both have long brown hair and cheesy, toothy grins. And yes, we have babies that are the sameĀ age. Rhys and Will were born eleven days apart, as it came to be, Will arriving a day early, and Rhys taking a full week later to make his appearance. And so, the boys were born into an arranged best-friendship. It was so fun to lay them next to one another on play mats and watch them kick around, occasionally noticing one another. Now, they’re crawling and fully aware of their surroundings. It’s a totally different game. And really, so much more fun.
My talented sister-in-law, Jen, was in town last month and snapped these shots. I just adore these boys, and am so enjoying watching them grow. For more beautiful lifestyle photography, check out Jen’s site here!
