On a gentrified stretch of Farifax lies Golden State, one of the few places in town where I’ll claim temporary amnesia from my pescatarian diet and devour a cheeseburger. If you go, and I suggest you do, be sure to order the Rasputin beer draft with brown bread gelato. It’s a rare delight.

going solo
